A photographic series interloping
the narratives of family anecdotes and the travel journals of British explorers
from the late 18th century.
Pinky, a young girl migrates from
Barbados to the UK at the beginning of the 1960’s accompanied with her
most treasured possessions and a bottle of rum that has been artificially coloured
to look like juice. This gift, an illegal passage of goods, awaits relatives
and friends residing in England.
